Description

The Integrated Biometrics Columbo is considered to be one of the most versatile fingerprint scanners in the market. It is a scanner which features easy integration with mobile devices, OEM products and other devices that require biometric security. The device uses LES technology that produces high quality fingerprint images irrespective of scanning conditions. The images are compliant with the FBI PIV standards, making the product an excellent choice for scanners used in government related applications.

Columbo is also highly power efficient and ideal for integration in portable devices that use a battery source. The module consumes just 130 mA while operating and less than 40 mA when in standby. Furthermore, the module has a compact and light weight build weighing less than 70 grams.

Special Features

FBI PIV compliant

Besides being a compact scanner that can also be embedded onto other products. The Columbo is also FBI PIV certified. The module uses full featured SDKs to produce certified quality images that can be used for a number of government applications.

Multiple OS compatibility

The Integrated Biometrics Columbo is compatible with multiple operating systems. This means the scanner can work with devices powered by Windows 7, Linux or Android 4.0 and higher versions. It can be used for a number of applications from infrastructure security to device and information security.

Light Emitting Sensor technology

The Integrated Biometrics Columbo uses Light Emitting Sensor technology which is not only capable of producing high quality images but also latent print free images. This gives the scanner a high degree of accuracy. It is capable of producing accurate results even if dry, wet, aged or scarred fingers are used on the platen.
