Special Features

Excellent alternative to passwords

The Hamster II DX has been exclusively designed by Nitgen as an effective replacement to conventional passwords. The fingerprint scanner’s USB 2.0 compatibility and its ability to be easily integrated with PCs make it an excellent tool in user authentication fields.

Compatible with Windows & Linux

Powered by the USB 2.0 interface, the Hamster II DX is compatible with both Windows and Linux Operating systems. The device is compatible with Windows Vista, XP, 2K, and 2007 besides Windows Server 2003/2008. It can also work with PCs powered by Linux OS with kernel versions 2.6 or higher.

LFD with Auto-On™ function

The Live Finger Detection technology is the Hamster II DX’s cutting edge feature that gives it an edge over similar products in the market. But Nitgen has taken things one step further by also integrating an auto-on function which makes the sensor work only when a live finger is detected. The sensor goes into standby mode when not active, effectively saving power and being highly secure.
