Description

The Nitgen Fingkey Hamster III is the last instalment of the Hamster series. Taking the best features out of Hamster I and Hamster II, Nitgen has designed the device to be ergonomic, compact and irreplaceable in terms of functionality and security. Featuring a stylish look and yet equipped with Live Finger Detection and auto on features, the scanner is capable of producing results within 300 ms due to the USB 2.0 interfacing standard.

The Hamster III works on Nitgen’s award winning matching algorithm that can enact routines of user authentication in precise and fast ways. Also featuring ergonomic standards, the device can adapt to two types of models (with and without stands) based on user needs.

Advanced optical technology

The Fingkey Hamster III from Nitgen uses advanced optical technology. The scanner is not susceptible to errors in judgement even if dry or wet fingers are used. The scanner is also resistant to environmental changes and severely testing conditions like impacts, electrical shocks and vibrations. The scanner is also resistant to scratches making it a highly durable device.

USB 2.0 interface

The Hamster III has been designed by Nitgen as an easy to use plug & play device. The device can work in USB high speed and full speed configurations producing results in 300 ms and 500 ms respectively. The scanner works with Windows (2000 or higher) and Linux Kernel 2.6x OS.

FBI PIV compliant high quality images

The Hamster III captures FBI PIV standard compliant images. These images feature a resolution of 500 DPI and 248 x 292 pixels in size and can be used in government identification and verification related applications. They can be used in standard businesses ranging from e-commerce to employee identification and even banking services by replacing conventional passwords.
