Description

The Futronic FS60 is an FBI appendix F certified fingerprint scanner. This device is capable of scanning fingerprints in less than 1 second owing to the advanced optical technology it uses. The scanner features a total scanning area of 3.2 x 3.0 inch. However for rolling fingerprint images, just half the scanning window is used at 1.6 x 1.5 inch. The scanner also features a compact yet ruggedized build. It measures 6.00 x 4.86 x 3.35 inches and weighs less than 2 kg. The scanner produces high resolution 1600 x 1500 pixel images.

Being FBI appendix F certified, the Futronic FS60 is used for a number of applications such as civil identification, criminal identification, background check and application procedures in e-passport and national ID cards.

Special Features

Rugged build

The Futronic FS60 is one of the most durable flat fingerprint scanners in the market. It uses an aluminium alloy internal frame for a weightless yet sturdy protective layer and ABS as the outer shell. The ABS outer shell promises solid protection against impacts and other mechanical disturbances.

Programmable user interface

The Futronic FS60 also features a programmable intuitive user interface. It consists of 10 sets of LEDs, 2 buttons and an acoustic buzzer to inform the user of choices and operation procedures while scanning. This makes the use of the Futronic FS60 easy and efficient.

FBI Appendix F certified module

The Futronic FS60 is an FBI appendix F certified module. The appendix F standards advocate high quality images and good interoperability for certified products. The Futronic FS60 is compliant with these standards. It produces 500 ppi 1600 x 1500 pixel images and has a USB 2.0 interface for easy connections with external devices.
