Lumidigm M-Series M311

Lumidigm M311
M-Series Fingerprint Scanner

Multispectral imaging technology
Unlimited template storage
High speed and accuracy

Description

The Lumidigm M-Series M311 is the high end version of Lumidigm’s mercury series of multispectral biometric scanners. The scanner uses Lumidigm’s signature multispectral imaging technology which when combined with the scanner’s processing algorithms for matching and verification give accurate results in the split of a second. The Lumidigm M- series M311 is capable of producing accurate 500 dpi, 256 gray level images, which can be used for a number of applications from data security to personnel monitoring in enterprise and business environments.

The scanner’s advanced sensors scan images in two levels to eliminate fake fingerprint related security threats. The sensors capture two images while operating, one at the surface level and one at a subsurface level 2mm below soon level. Since human fingers have a deep tissue fingerprint which is an exact copy of the surface print, the scanner can instantly recognize any fake fingers made of silicon rubber or other materials lacking the second layer.

Special Features

High speed and accuracy

The scanner has been designed to act at high speeds to produce error free results. The typical time taken to furnish identification results after finger placement is just 0.5 ms for a database of 1000 users. The scanner also avoids FTA and FTE issues.

Multiple OS compatibility

Different from other biometric scanners, the Lumidigm M-series M311 scanners are compatible with Windows and Linux OS which helps these sensors adapt and cater to various applications.

Unlimited template storage

As an upgraded version of the M301 counterpart in the mercury series, the Lumidigm M311 comes with a set of premium privileges of its own. The scanner is capable of storing unlimited identification and verification templates. While competing scanners can only store between 1000 and 10,000 templates, this storage capacity gives the M311 a definite edge.
