Description

The SecuGen Hamster IV is an ergonomically designed fingerprint scanner compliant with the FBI PIV 201 standards. Being used as a biometric alternative to conventional passwords, the SecuGen Hamster IV promises better security with lesser hassles of password data overloads, security breaches and accountability. The scanner features SecuGen’s state of the art Auto-On™ and Smart Capture™ technologies that ensure that the module works power efficiently without compromising on functionality and image quality.

The Auto-On™ feature makes the module switch from its idle state to operating state automatically whenever a finger is detected on the platen automatically. The Smart Capture™ technology makes the module give high quality images even when it works with scarred, aged, dry or wet fingers in extreme surrounding environment conditions like direct sunlight.

The module provides highly accurate results while working under direct sunlight, and is resistant to shocks, impact and other mechanical vibrations. It provides error free results, even when working with dry, wet, aged or scarred fingers.

The SecuGen Hamster IV is compatible with multiple OS such as Windows (7, 8, 8.1, 10), Windows Server (2012, 2008 R2), Java, Linux and android 3.1 or higher. This makes the module cater to security applications in diverse areas such as enterprise, network, finance, user verification, authorization and more.

Accurate and durable performance

The SecuGen Hamster IV uses patented optical technologies that ensure high quality image capture. The Smart capture system is capable of adjusting platen source illumination to match with surrounding conditions to give the best quality images despite harsh working conditions. The SecuGen Hamster IV uses a virtually indestructible prism sensor for scanning, which makes the module rugged and durable even under rough working environments.
