Embedded algorithms

SecuGen iD-Serial has a flash memory of 128 MB and can hold the database of up to 10,000 users. The module also comes packed with embedded algorithms for a template extractor, a 1:1 matcher and a 1:N matching engine. The module has a transfer rate of 921 Kbps and matching speed less than 0.2 seconds.

Auto-On™ functionality

The Auto-On™ feature in the SecuGen iD-Serial ensures that the module works only when it detects a finger on the scanning platform. The automatic finger placement detection technology in the module automatically turns the module on and scans the finger impression without a prompt. This makes the module power efficient as it consumes less than 400 mA while working and 50 mA while idle.

Smart Capture™ technology

The Smart Capture™ technology integrated with the SecuGen iD-Serial has a direct control over the fingerprint brightness while scanning the image. The Smart Capture™ creates high quality images irrespective of the kind of finger used, be it wet, dry, scarred or aged fingers. The Smart Capture™ function helps the module capture images even under direct sunlight at a 500 DPI/ 260 x 300 pixel resolutions.
