Description

SecuGen SDU04P is one of the most popular choices in biometric applications that require FBI certified biometric sensors. SecuGen’s SDU model sensors support USB 2.0 interface for easy integration with external hardware and systems.

SDU04P is compliant with FPI/FIPS 201 image standards. This helps the module find uses in applications such as banking, financial security, healthcare and user verification and identification.

The module also supports plug and play architecture and works with any applications that run on SecuGen’s algorithm. There are SDKs available from the maker that can be used to develop specialized applications.

The optic sensors used on the SecuGen SDU04P are built in-house and features a rugged design that enables the module to work under extreme environments and testing conditions.

Compact and rugged build

The SecuGen SDU04P features a compact build and measures 21 x 32 x 60 mm. The module is built with in-house designed sensors which advocate high quality and low maintenance which gives the module a durable and rugged build.

FBI/FIPS 201 standard images

The SecuGen SDU04P produces 508 DPI and 258 x 336 pixel resolution images that are compliant with FBI standards. The module also features inbuilt 1: 1 and 1: N matching algorithms which when combined with the high data transfer rates of the USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 interfaces produce blazingly fast and accurate results.

Advanced technology

The SecuGen SDU04P uses patented SEIR technology along with Auto-On™ and Smart Capture™ functionalities to provide highly accurate, reliable and power efficient results. The SEIR technology produces high quality high contrast low distortion images, which when combined with Smart Capture™ technology produces best in class results. The Auto-On™ functionality makes the module scan automatically in the presence of a live finger, thus bringing down power consumption levels.
